Waiver Students – Altered Bell Schedules
Seniors on principal/college waiver are required to attend all scheduled classes at La Plata for the entire duration of the class. In cases where the bell schedule is altered due to beginning of the year procedures, delayed opening or other circumstances, waiver students must stay at La Plata through the end of their last class.

Senior Dues Information
$150.00 includes cap, gown, stole and tassel, senior awards & recognitions, commencement exercises, class picnic, class t-shirt, yard sign, and a senior keepsake box.
To defray the cost of pre-graduation activities and commencement, each member of the Class of 2024 is expected to pay his or her class dues by December 15, 2023. The Class Dues payment does not include prom and/or a yearbook. It is a good idea for students to pay these fees as soon as possible. Class dues and all school debts must be paid in full before students can purchase a prom ticket or be able to participate in graduation exercises.
Due Date: December 15, 2023
Students should pay their senior dues in the form of a check or money order payable to La Plata High School. Cash will not be accepted. Please include your student’s name on the check/money order. Dues may also be paid online. This is the link for My School Bucks for parents to login or set-up an account to pay Senior Dues:
Senior Picture Information
On-campus portraits sessions at the school are occurring at Matula Elementary this summer.
If you were not able to make it to any of our portrait sessions, you can now schedule an appointment for senior portraits with Lifetouch directly. You can either email mjarea@lifetouch.com or call 410-735-9198.
Yearbook photos must be taken by Lifetouch. If you do not want to pay the sitting fee, you can take the yearbook-only option, which is free. You’ll still be able to buy portraits later, but the only pictures they take at your appointment will be in the tux or gown and the cap-and-gown set-up.
Choose your yearbook portrait. Once you've had your senior portrait taken, be sure to go to the Prestige Portrait website and choose which pose you'd like to have printed in the yearbook. If you don't choose one, the system will choose it for you, so don't worry if you forget -- you'll still be in the yearbook!
The deadline to choose your pose is Feb. 22, and that deadline cannot be extended, since the photos get sent to us immediately afterward.
Senior Pictures-
There will be make up Senior Pictures at LPHS November 6th - 9th . The photographers will be here from 7:30-3. You will need to schedule your appointment through Prestige to guarantee a spot. Students are not permitted to have guests (parents, guardians, etc.) at the portrait sessions while school is in session.
Cap & Gown Ordering
In order to have correct sizing information, cap and gown ordering will be through Jostens.com. All students must order the cap/gown package (which is $0.00) through this site. To get to this package, scroll down and click "Shop All" and once on this page, scroll down to "Cap and Gown Unit" if you do not want to purchase any optional items. Students have the option of placing orders for announcements, thank you cards and more by purchasing a package or a la carte items on this website.
